Established:
The Apostle Maria G. Carr Memorial Scholarship Fund was created in honor of the late Apostle Maria G. Carr. Apostle Carr was the founder and former pastor of Alpha Omega Fellowship. Apostle Carr possessed an unspeakable capacity of knowledge, both secular and spiritual. She was inspired by the Holy Spirit to begin Alpha Omega Fellowship. Her uncanny love for people was demonstrated, where she walked and talked to people about the same Jehovah-Jireh, Abram talked about nearly 5,000 years ago. Apostle Carr shepherded Alpha Omega Fellowship from 1992 to 2015.
Purpose:
To perpetuate the late Apostle Carr's desire to educate the youth of Alpha Omega Fellowship both spiritually and intellectually through faith, generosity, time, talent and energy in the Christian Field. Scholarships are awarded based on academic achievements and service in the church and community.
Mission Statement:
We seek to encourage Alpha Omega Fellowship’s youth to pursue a college education which will empower them to take their place in the 21st century. To provide scholarships to high school graduates and financial assistance to undergraduate college students within the church who qualify in accordance with the Apostle Maria G. Carr Memorial Scholarship Fund.
